GE Vscan Air Probe and training offerings:

CSA offers the option to use your CME or TESL funds to bundle the purchase of a GE Vscan Air probe with one of our many training options.

  • E-learning 

    • FCU module – E-learning module stepping you through the goals of FCU, detailed step-by-step protocol, acoustic windows and probe positions, common pitfalls, pathology rule in/rule out, compliance with CICM and ANZCA standards

    • FELS module​ – E-learning module detailing the FELS protocol providing a step-by-step approach, acoustic windows and probe positions, pathology rule in/rule out, compliance with ACEM standards.

  • ​​​Workshops

    • ​Advanced Diastolic Dysfunction and Measurements Mady Easy workshop

      • This accredited one day workshop will provide comprehensive insight into left ventricular diastology and associated measurements used at the bedside. This newfound knowledge and skill will allow the delegate to integrate the assessment of diastolic dysfunction into their cardiac ultrasound assessment and aid in advanced clinical decision making.

    • Focussed Cardiac Ultrasound workshop

      • Our accredited 2-day FCU workshop is designed for any medical doctor wanting to learn the valuable skill of focused cardiac ultrasound. We will equip clinicians with all the necessary skills to become proficient in performing a focussed cardiac ultrasound exam, and aid in accurate diagnosis and subsequent timely patient care. Our experienced echocardiography educators simplify this learning process throughout, applying our proven step-by-step approach and comprehensive hands-on component to each workshop.​

      • Our workshops are designed for junior doctors through to consultant level medical specialists, tailored to meet the delegate at their skill level. Teaching is aimed towards, but not limited to, emergency physicians, intensivists, anaesthetics, general medicine, rural GPs and cardiology trainees – those who want to perform point of care cardiac ultrasound.

  • Bespoke training

    • Private training designed specifically to your needs

      • 5Hr blocks of one-on-one hands-on training, tailer made to your individual needs.  You choose the content, direction and the focus of the training, guided by your starting skill level. Can purchase individual sessions or blocks of training (discount for 5 x or more). Available anytime in Brisbane, or before/after a scheduled workshop Australia or New Zealand wide.​

    • Departmental training    

      • Training sessions designed specifically for your departmental cardiac ultrasound needs.  Opportunities available to include Lung and FAST scans. Departmental training has been found to improve team collaboration, rapport and cohesion; maintain and improve skills uptake; improve physician accountability; and ultimately increase the standard of care provided to patients.​​​
